• Cleanliness: 5 Towels were changed every day, but the sheets never.
• Location: 10 Easy walk to Biblioteca Nacional where I was doing research. Near a supermarket, restaurants and shopping, too.
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 The common room was comfortable and breakfast was served quickly and at a good price.

• Room: 7.5 There was no view to speak of, but that kept it quiet, which was more important to me.
• Value for money: 10 Really there's nothing like it at the same price in central Madrid.
