• Location: 10 Located on Puerto de Sol within easy access to all of historical Madrid,Plaza Mayor, Santa Ana, Palace Real etc

• Staff: 10 Only met one surly staff member and this was in the cafe so can%27t downgrade for one person
• Quietness: 10 Had a room to the rear of the hotel which was very quiet
• Room: 10 Adequate size and well appointed
• Value for money: 10 Great price for a city cente location - pity about the poor exchange rate for the pound

• Positive: Cleanliness of the room and very helpful, friendly staff. Also liked being able to have breakfast at the hotel. I%27m happy to see they are conserving-reusing towels and bedding.

• Negative: Threshold to street has unmarked steps which trip the unwary. Bathtub needs non-slip interior. Staff should suggest to American travelers that exchange rate for $1%27s and $5%27s bills is less than $10 and up, not gleefully exchange in a rush leaving the American in the lurch.
