• Location: 10 PERFECT!!!! Couldn%27t be better located!
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 Depending on what you expect to find, in Barcelona you won%27t be staying in a hotel room at all, except for sleeping
• Staff: 2.5 In the beginning we met all smiles and a very positive attitude. Then one morning, when my 18 year old daughter and I came back after jogging, her sunglasses were lying on the table next to the bed all broken. We told the hotel manager, and she called the cleaning lady. The latter hadn%27t seen any sunglasses, she%27d replied. The hotel manager said that she had to believe her staff. OK, so who else had been in our locked room? Or, as I asked her, do you think we%27re lying? Well, she insisted on that she had to believe her staff. She said she would have them repaired, but the sunglasses was glued in an ugly way and my daughter couldn%27t use them any more... An incident that gave us a very bad impression of the service and their lack of respect for hotel guests. Why would we want to lie about a thing like that? No good.
• Quietness: 10 You%27d imagine that the central location would have a negative effect on noice - but no, it was quiet all through the night!
• Room: 2.5 The room is very small, but we got used to the size from the very beginning. To that price you can%27t expect more. And it was OK, even though we really had a lot of luggage with us!
• Value for money: 10 Super!!

• Quietness: 5 Your on the main square you expect some noise but rooms have poor bad fitting single glazed windows.

• Value for money: Not rated Paid 155 euros, moved 100yards down Ramblas to 4 star hotel extra £10 per night.

• Staff: Not rated Staff most courteous,helpful and efficient. Held our luggage until 1.30pm on day of departure as we were going on a cruise and embarking time was after 1.00pm. Likewise, following the cruise we approached your hotel staff and they very kindly held our luggage for the full day as the departure time of our flight back to Cork was at 21.20. What a kind gesture and very much appreciated. We would certainly stay at Monegal Hotel when we return to Barcelona.
