• Cleanliness: 7.5 Good daily cleaning.
• Location: 10 This is about as central as you can get, with easy access to the waterfront and beach (five-minute walk). The C-6 bus from the airport will stop in front of the hotel (and returns via the stop across the street). You can easily walk to the historic district, yet are not right in that noisy area. There are many shops, restaurants, and bars nearby. The new underground tram station is right up the street (this goes along the Costa Blanca). I think this is the best location you will find in Alicante, particularly if you are not using a car.
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 Wi-Fi did not work in my room, but was working well in the reception area, and is free. I did not try the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. I noted that there are no steps upon entering the hotel (just a bit of a ramp/slope), there is a lift, and my room was fairly large, so this hotel could be (by European standards, at least) reasonably accessible to disabled people (ask for more information - I'm not sure about the bathrooms).
• Staff: 5 The person who checked me in was fine, but other staff members at the front desk were not particularly friendly. Upon check-out, the person was very pleasant, though, and the maids were friendly.
• Quietness: 7.5 On a major street, yet not noisy (I was on the sixth floor and facing inwards, but the area is not bad - the historic district or 'Casco Antiguo' is much, much worse for noise; I have stayed there before and will not do so again).
• Room: 7.5 Good size. No view (facing interior of building), but at least there was no street noise. Minibar was missing upon check-in, but was provided after I requested it. The only real problem was broken bathroom tiles - these should be fixed or replaced. The mattress was excellent.
• Value for money: 10 Excellent - it would be hard to beat this, and I would stay here again.
