The hotel is located in the heart of historic Salamanca just yards from the Plaza Mayor, next to the Torre del Clavero (literally, the clove tree tower). Today, this army building of the Palace of Francisco de Sotomayor, lord of Baños y Clavero Mayor of the Order of Alcántara, is a museum. The Hotel Torre del Clavero preserves the cosy atmosphere of stone and wood with the functionality of a modern and comfortable place.   • Positive: The location of the hotel is great, just two streets from Plaza Mayor, directly in the historical city center. I valued that they have a parking garage under the hotel, since parking is a nightmare otherwise. Our room was nice, the bathroom even on the luxurious side.
