Hotel Avenida Palace, a classic of Barcelona, recently renovated, has an unbeatable location in the city center. It has 151 comfortable recently refurbished rooms that preserve a traditional but functional decoration. The rooms are fully equipped and have a private bathroom and digital ISDN. Insolit Barcelona Restaurant is open every day of the week. Room service. The hotel has seven meeting halls with capacities between 25 and 300 people, and all equipped with an analogic telephone line for PC connections.

  • Negative: Courtyard view room ( no view just like a prison block) No natural daylight, lights needed day and night. No air, room was hot even in December with heating off. No Bar for a relaxing drink. Only the reception area with the choice of whiskey or Gin and tonic. No cafe for light snacks or a simple meal. No name badges for staff members on reception. Customer services manager Javier Tomas, said would make contact with us, regarding our special requests, but did not make himself known to us. Very difficult to confirm a room with walk in shower prior to arrival. Hot food at breakfast was cold and unappetizing. Other visitors were being brought fresh, hot omelletes but there was no list or indication that these could be ordered. No tea and coffee making facilites in the room. Overall terrible facilites for a 4 star hotel. very disappointed and would never ever stay again or recommend to others.
