Hotel Casual Bilbao Gurea **

• Positiv: My room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The employees at the front desk were friendly and extremely helpful, and the hotel is well located.
• Negativ: I think this hotel is really overpriced for the Iberian Peninsula. My single room was 95 euros/night (I must not have been playing close attention when I booked). In comparison, last summer I booked my family of 4 into comprable hotels for 100 euros/night in Lisbon, Coimbra, Évora, Zaragoza and even Barcelona (two room suites everywhere except Barcelona, they all included breakfast!) This summer, my single rooms in Salamanca and Madrid (comparable in quality and location to Casual Gurea) have cost me 35 euros and 58 euros/night respectively. I am not sure if I my room at Casual Gurea was just really overpriced for Bilbao, or if it is Bilbao that is overpriced. If you are on a budget, I would choose a different hotel or destination.
