• Positive: Beautiful view from our suite.
• Negative: Room was directly over the restaurant so was a bit noisy at night. Also room was quite dark, both with regards to decor and also lighting. it made it quite difficult to see what you were doing.

• Staff: 5 Staff did not relay a message left at the hotel for us.
• Quietness: 2.5 Room was over restaurant so was noisy in the evening as well as smoke rose up and into our windows so we could not have them open until after the restaurant was closed. Also there was a lot of construction noise from a neighbouring property. Staff never made any mention of it, nor did they apologize for any inconvenience.

• Positive: The view and the authentic character of the building and furnishings. Also the situation was very convenient but quiet.
• Negative: The hard uncomfortable bed which we both agreed could not provide a good night's sleep. This could be improved at no great cost by the use of a mattress topper which would give a softer feel. We were also a little disappointed in the quality of breakfast.
