• Room: 2.5 no AC means windows must be open on warm nights, and if the bar down the alleyway is making lots of noise, it's not very good for sleep

• Negative: Being asked to pay cash on arrival when my card had already been charged; extremely rude front desk staff; hallways filled with bags of rubbish and dirty linen; rooms very outdated and dirty.

• Cleanliness: 2.5 Hallways were filled with rubbish bags, linen bags, vacuum cleaner cords and towels on the floor. Dangerous and difficult to maneuver. Lights in hallway did not always work which was another safety issue. Walls of our hotel room were filthy - visible dirt for which I have photos.
• Location: 2.5 Not as close to Gare L'Est as advertised.

• Staff: Not rated Very rude and argumentative. Became hostile and aggressive when challenged about the double payment they wrongly requested from me.

• Room: 2.5 Dirty walls, holes in walls, outdated wallpaper, very small (hard to move between walls and bed).
• Value for money: 2.5 Room was below expectation for what we paid and we got it at a good discount. I would be horrified if I had paid anywhere near the advertised / rack rate.
