• Cleanliness: 10 Cleanest room we stayed in while traveling through Spain.
• Location: 10 Located near many stores, restaurants and public transportation
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 It would have been nice to have breakfast included in the price. Breakfast was too expensive. We appreciated the free toiletries and mini bar.
• Staff: 5 Desk staff was a bit aloof, but the bell hop was friendly and helpful.
• Quietness: 7.5 We had a room in the back that was very quiet.
• Room: 10 Appreciated the window coverings that made the room dark and kept the noise out.
• Value for money: 10 Great value.

• Location: 10 Close to metro. Seven minute walk to Puerto de Sol. Had a hard time fining the hotel because two perpendicular streets have the same name.

• Staff: 10 Very helpful. Made dinner reservations for us and found a cab when we needed it.
• Quietness: 10 Two sets of double paned windows. There was jackhammering in the street below, but we were not bothered by it.
• Room: 10 Sleek and modern. Above-average size for European big city.

• Positive: The location was central and close to lots of the areas that we wanted to visit in Madrid. We stayed in the suite on the top floor of the hotel, so the room was very large and included a corner terrace.
• Negative: The bed was extremely hard. In general, we know that beds in Europe, and Spain specifically, are harder than North America, but of all the placed we stayed in Spain (or Europe for that matter), the bed in this hotel was by far the hardest. My wife put it best when she said that she could have just spread a blanket on the floor and slept just as comfortably as we did on the bed. We stayed for five nights, and by the end of that time we were anxious to leave because the unyielding bed was causing our hips and back to be sore. Nice hotel, but the bed killed it for us. We have traveled extensively throughout most of Europe, so we know a really hard bed when we get one.

• Cleanliness: 5 room appeared clean until I dropped something and looked under desk and saw much dust
• Location: 10 I walked everywhere from hotel with ease - all major points of interest within 20 minute walk and many within 10 minutes
• Common facilities and services: 5
• Staff: 10 Staff was extremely friendly and helpful
• Quietness: 7.5 Double windows blocked most noise but due to road construction and vibrating jackhammers, noise/vibrations began early during weekdays. Could not hear regular road noise so this should not be issue once roadworks are complete.
