With over one hundred years of service, the Fonda Siqués is a point of reference in the world of inn-keeping in La Garrotxa and in the region of Girona. The building is that of a typical end-of-the-19th century Catalan Inn, devoted to changing the carthorses of the carriages. This privately owned hotel belongs to the Ventura Teixidor family, who have been hoteliers for 6 generations. The first records of the hotel date from 1858, and in 2008 the hotel will celebrate 150 years of opening. The hotel has 26 rooms. Each room is uniquely decorated and has its own individual character and great views over the mountains. The rooms on the first floor already existed when the hotel opened as an Inn. Although smaller than those on the second floor, they still preserve the characteristic look of the beginning of the 20th century, but with the comforts a 21st century-customer needs. All rooms are en suite and are equipped with heating, telephone, and TV. Some of the rooms have air conditioning.
