• Would you recommend it? Yes
• Positive: The central location overlooking the lively Puerta del Sol. The hotel is located within 15 minutewalking distance to The Prado and the Reina Sofia as well as the train station in one direction. In the other direction, you can walk 7 to 10 minutes to the Palacio Real. We also liked the cafeteria, with the full service wait staff (who seem to work from 7am through the evening!). The outdoor tables are great for people watching, enjoying a drink or a meal. The air conditioning (we stayed 3 times in 3 different rooms) was always working and kept us comfortable. Everything is modern, clean and absolutely perfect.

• Cleanliness: 10 The cleaning staff were constantly wiping down the elevators, windows, etc. as well as vacuuming the floors. Our rooms were exceptionally clean.
• Location: 10 Overlooks the Puerta del Sol - easy walking distance to areas of tourist interest.
• Common facilities and services: 10 If you want a hot tub or swimming pool, look elsewhere.
• Staff: 10
• Quietness: 5 The hotel itself is quiet and they've worked hard to minimize street noise. Still, the Puerta del Sol is very, very noisy. We did wear earplugs one night and then slept just fine. The hotel does have inner courtyard rooms which are not subjected to street noise.
• Room: 10 The rooms overlooking the Puerta del Sol have balconies! The size of our rooms was adequate for the two of us.
• Value for money: 10 I believe this hotel was reasonably priced.

• Positive: It's prime location (few steps to/from Puerta del Sol), good front office service generally especially the night staff, cleanliness, quietness inspite of its closeness to the centre of activities, etc.
• Negative: Minor inconvenience for internet hook-up that needs wire cable. There was only one lonely then over-used cable that was not located by the day front office staff; but the night staff (one with eyeglasses, sorry missed the name) did find it. Maybe the day crew are all wireless nuts and have no idea that pc's like my oldie will still need that cable.

• Positive: Comfortable bed, no noise; easy to sleep. It was a very clean hotel in all areas, friendly helpful staff, and excellent location.
• Negative: Shower leaked all over the floor which made it very dangerous and could have potentially caused an accident (room 106).

• Location: 10 Perfect location.
• Common facilities and services: 10 Only had coffee in adjoining cafe. Cafe was clean and modern and the staff were very pleasant.

• Quietness: 7.5 Had good sleeps here, only minor noise from neighbouring rooms.
• Room: 7.5 No view (room 106) but spacious and well laid out.
• Value for money: 10 I thought it was good value for money considering the location.
