June/2013 Someone from New York City, NY, USA thinks:

  • Overall rating: 10
  • Would you recommend it? Yes
  • Positive: The hotel was very convenient to the Alhambra and it was also convenient to a nearby bus that went right to the heart of the city in ten minutes. And because it was away from the city, it was quiet at night. The staff was extremely pleasant and very helpful and courteous. When I found that my ticket order for the Alhambra hadn't gone through (I thought I had made one in NYC), the concierge immediately got me a ticket for the next day. When it was really cold at night the maid was kind enough to bring me a portable heater. I think I could summarize this by saying that what I most liked was the immediate and personal attention of the staff to any request.

June/2013 Someone from Washington, D.C., USA thinks:

  • Overall rating: 8
  • Would you recommend it? Yes
  • Positive: Quiet, clean room and safe, comfortable, pleasant lounge area to relax just across from the Alhambra.
  • Negative: The room looks sad. It is clean, but the historic furniture should be refinished. The third bed for the triple was uncomfortable.
  • I RECOMMEND it for... Families, Peace seekers, Budget travelers, Travelers with a car

June/2013 Someone from USA thinks:

  • Overall rating: 8.7
  • Would you recommend it? Yes
  • Positive: quiet location 10 minute walk into town, across from Alhambra, nice buffet breakfast, friendly & welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, firm bedding. Bar/snack bar excellent!
  • Negative: lack of WIFI in room - this was the only place we stayed on a 10 day trip that didn't have WIFI in room, WIFI in lobby worked well.

June/2013 Someone from Devizes, UK thinks:

  • Overall rating: 9.8
  • Would you recommend it? Yes
  • Positive: Situation, ease of getting to in a car and parking, cool and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff who spoke some english, easy to get to and from the city centre either by a lovely walk or easy bus. They have a locked walk in cupboard where you can leave your luggage while you do more sight seeing after you have checkedin. I assume you could also use this if you arrived early.
  • Negative:
  • I RECOMMEND it for... Older travelers, Couples, Peace seekers, Business travelers, Travelers with a car
  • I recommend it especially AGAINST...
  • Cleanliness: 10
  • Location: 10 Getting to by car is easy as you follow directions to the alhambra and then park in that car park. It is then a few minutes walk down and then up some steps. The walk to the centre is lovely in itself, either through some trees beside the alhambra or down steps through alleys with views of the city. There is a regular bus from outside the alhambra to the cathedral and back again
  • Common facilities and services: 7.5 We used the small cafe at the entrance. Very comfy seating and elegant old world feel, it is like something from another time but has been completely refurbished in recent years. We had a snack that was freshly prepared and not too expensive given the surroundings.
  • Staff: 10 Very friendly and speak english. On check in they volunteer info on how to get around
  • Quietness: 10 Very quiet and peaceful
  • Room: 7.5 We paid a bit extra for a superior double room as it gave 2 windows one of which had a view of the edge of the alhambra and away over the city to the mountains which was nice. Bed is enormous and very comfortable. There is a mini bar which was useful to put our own water and our perishable food stuffs into. The windows open and there are good metal shutters to keep out the heat and the air con works well. Bathroom very nice
