• Negative: Dark dismal decor in the main building. Upstairs hallways very unwelcoming, gloomy and needs a new carpet. The salons downstairs were also very dull and uninteresting and never saw anyone sitting in them

• Cleanliness: 7.5 Towels grey and old in bathrooms. Soap wasn't replaced once used, only two tea bags and two tiny milk capsules left everyday. No chance of a second cup of tea or coffee, l thought this very mean considering the cost of our stay
• Location: 10 The location is the saving grace for this hotel
• Common facilities and services: 5 What were the extra facilities?
• Staff: 5 Majority of staff generally friendly and helpful. The reception staff should NOT have their backs to the guests all the time. Turn the computer around so they can do their administration work but still be face the guests. We felt as if we were 'disturbing' them from their work every time, when the hotel guests should be their priority. I found the staff having their backs to reception very rude.
• Quietness: 7.5 Very good sound insulation considering the hotel is on a busy road.
• Room: 5 Room size ok, good view, no lights on the balcony. Furniture was not of good design as all hotel room furniture should provide storage for guests possessions. i.e bedside cabinets...no drawers, shelves in wardrobes full of pillows and other bedding.

• Staff: 5 Polite. However the service was low key. I think I am used to being greeted at breakfast etc

• Room: 5 Modern, stylish and clean. Size of bed was great and we loved the walk in shower. We just felt the room was a little dark - only one door opened to let in the light
