• Positive: The location is fantastic, directly across from the beach, with views to die for and within walking distance of the town centre. 2. The staff are friendly enough. The manageress was particularly understanding and helpful when I asked to speak to her about checking out just after we checked in! 3. The outdoor dining terrace is well apportioned and very spacious.
• Negative: 1. The room we booked, a junior suite....so not cheap, was dull and uninspiring. The bed had a limited view of the balcony area. The furniture was of a poor flat packed standard with functional soft furnishing and poor quality laminate flooring. Not what you would expect from what is purportedly a four star hotel and certainly not what you'd expect of the junior suite in a four star hotel. 2. The bathroom was small but two people could not use this space at the same time. One would expect a double sink in a junior suite at the very least. 3. The beach towels were tired and in need of replacement. 4. The soap provided in the en suite was paper thin and lasted only one shower. Pointless and unnecessary. 5. The common areas are dull and dingy, furnished with your grannies old antique furniture and trinkets, and carpeted in a similar manner! My late grandparents and great auntie Flora would feel at home here. If you are expecting a modern boutique style hotel then give this place a wide berth. 6. No free water in the rooms! For all the cost, this should be included! You get the feeling that they don't try because they don't have to try.....because of the location! 7. The reception is woefully undermanned with regular queues to speak to the solitary and rather grumpy male receptionist. He seems to be responsible for everything from; check in, check out, complaints, taxis and the issuing of beach towels, and he did it all from his rather corporate office desk which is plonked in the middle of the reception area. No niceties here, just an office desk, a PC and a few post it pads! Come on, this is the first impression guests get of the hotel and it's not a great one, especially for a four star hotel! 8. The beds were not supplied with duvets, only a sheet and some dirty old bed spread. Goodness only knows who else slept with or did whatever else on top of that bedspread but when you have no choice but to use it, it doesn't make you feel good. A luxury hotel is meant to make you feel good but this was the final straw for us.

• Positive: The location of the Hotel was amazing, very clean and well kept. The reception staff ladies were lovely and couldn't be more helpful, the gentleman was less easy to understand and not willing to help on occasions. The bar staff very good at their job and work very hard throughout their long days, one particular man was lovely and very smiley and helpful I wish I got his name. I absolutely loved your hotel and will definitely be coming back.

• Negative: Variation in rooms, we paid the same price as our friends for a sea front view but they had a suite and we had a room with a window and no balcony, despite paying the same cost.

• Positive: The hotel is quiet, beautiful, clean, stylish, the staff are friendly and so very helpful. The food is excellent with plenty of choice - breakfast is amazing. Lovely swimming pool and pool area. Hotel is situated out of the main centre but only a short stroll in which is lovely. Great beach opposite - can't fault it.
